Purpose – This study aimed to adapt the Operational Competitive Capabilities (OCC) scale, developed by Abu-Radi (2013), into Turkish and assess its validity and reliability within the Turkish cultural context. Design/methodology/approach – The research was conducted in three stages. The linguistic and format validity of the scale was tested through a pilot study. Then, the construct validity and reliability were examined using exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) across three different samples consisting of a total of 588 participants. Findings – The analyses revealed that the scale demonstrated high internal consistency and reliability. The scale exhibited a three-dimensional structure and effectively measured innovation, quality-reliability-flexibility, and cost-efficiency dimensions. Discussion – These findings indicate that the adapted Turkish version of the scale is a valid and reliable measurement tool. The scale can be used effectively to evaluate operational capabilities and align them with strategic goals, offering significant contributions to both academic research and practical applications.
